The Matthew Shepard Story

The parents initially want to request the death penalty for their son's murderers, but the mother, Judy Shepard (Stockard Channing, starts to reconsider. As they struggle with their decision, they decide to reexamine the life of their son and rediscover his personality, his struggle to accept his homosexuality as a natural part of his being and above all, his generous humanity to others. All of this leads the parents to appeal to the court the way their son would have wanted, not out of vengeance but to represent best of what their son was and the tragedy of his loss.

Vreak Holebitheater zoekt jong talent
Vreak Holebitheater speurt naar holebi's en hetero's met talent voor Straight Undercover, een komische en hartverwarmende musical over trouw zijn aan jezelf.
In het voorjaar van 2013, waarin sport erg belangrijk wordt voor de stad Antwerpen en haar holebi’s met de World Outgames, plant Vreak holebitheater in samenwerking met Shimmerglee en het Fakkelteater een ware komische musical over holebi’s in de sport
“We zijn op zoek naar nieuw talent, dat vooral erg enthousiast is over ons project. Zowel holebi’s als hetero’s mogen zich kandidaat stellen. Volgens onze filosofie kan je jezelf immers nooit integreren als je de ander uitsluit.”
Concreet zoekt het holebitheater nog voor zeven rollen invulling. Kandidaten kunnen zich aanmelden voor de open audities via deze link
